History: Ellarinne was born on the continent of Kalimdor, in the forest west of the sacred peak Mount Hyjal. Her grandparents were gardeners in the court of Queen Azshara, but when the queen and all her nobles were swallowed the sea and the continent was struck asunder, they and many other survivors fled west and began a new life. Ellarinne had a peaceful childhood, spending her nights in worship of the moon and exploring the forest like many other night elven children, and when she came of age she studied the arts of healing herbs under her grandmother. But when the Burning Legion again set foot on Azeroth, she lost everything she loved in a single day of fire and bloodshed.

Desperate for vengeance, she joined the cult of personality led by Illidan the Betrayer, and sacrificed her eyes in a fel ritual that infused her soul itself with demonic energy. She wanted to take the fight to the Burning Legion and fight them on their own shattered worlds -- but instead she and the other demon hunters were imprisoned by their own kin, and the Burning Legion was driven from Azeroth without their help.

It was only a temporary reprieve. When the Burning Legion returned once more and struck down both King Varian Wrynn of the Alliance and Warchief Vol'jin of the Horde in a single battle, the survivors knew they couldn't afford to waste any potential advantage against the Legion. The demon hunters were set free, and Ellarinne took charge of their numbers, allying with the Alliance and leading them in battle after battle until at least the armies of the Legion were broken and its leader, Sargeras, was imprisoned by his fellow Titans. No more would demons walk free over the lands of Azeroth -- except, of course, for the demon hunters themselves, who could never be cured of their demonic taint.

It doesn't matter. They sacrificed themselves to save Azeroth, and now they will live to protect her. Wherever peril raises its fist, the demon hunters will be there to weather the blow.

Personality: Loss and battle hardened Ellarinne, leaving her struggling for a time to relate to outsiders. A select few friends -- chief among them the bronze dragon Chromie and the venthyr prince Renathal -- and a series of adventures across the face of Azeroth and the lands beyond kept her from entirely retreating behind a mask of duty. She still has a tendency to keep people at arm's length, focusing on the work to be done and using an ironic sense of humor to deflect and mask her discomfort with social situations, but once her trust has been won she proves to be a compassionate and giving friend. She enjoys making things with her hands, and happens to be a master chef and alchemist.
Initial Game Plan: I want to do Stardew Valley stuff! Ellarinne will begin working as a laborer, possibly on the docks or one of the farmsteads, until she's saved enough money to open a restaurant. Residents and visitors of Pumpkin Hollow will be able to sample dishes combining their native tastes with the techniques Ellarinne brings from her many travels -- and she's always happy to discuss a new recipe!
